Angove Family Winemakers, Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2018, McLaren Vale, Australia
Tasting Note: A GSM blend you could open and share with mixed company, and it would easily satisfy both the wine connoisseur and wine amateur at your table.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, floral, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, young-violet-blossom petal, raspberry, strawberry and red cherry with hints of bramble.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied GSM blend has a silky texture with medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and smooth, medium tannin that melts on the back of your tongue.
Bottle Note: McLaren Vale’s Mediterranean climate and soils provide the ideal environment for growing our grenache, shiraz, and mourvedre grapes. The three varietals are fermented separately then lovingly blended. The result is a seductive balance of bright berry fruits, lifted perfume and brooding spice with soft silky and juicy tannins. Our Family Crest wines exemplify the best of our craft. Each wine showcases traditional McLaren Vale winemaking techniques and classic McLaren Vale varietals. Each is tribute to where we have come from, as well as where we are going. Vegan friendly.
