Tasting Note: An aged, 20+ year-old, red zinfandel that was bold in its youth and still remains lively while showcasing development that highlights the subtleties of flavor that red zinfandel can deliver over time.

Deep-intensity ruby in color with garnet around the edges, this aged, unfiltered wine has nose of raspberry compote, black cherry, bramble, red plum and blackberry.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied zinfandel has medium-plus intensity red-and-black fruit flavors suggested on the nose with medium acidity and a raspberry-infused, medium-plus finish.

The wine is creamy in texture with smooth, ripe, medium-plus tannin.

The wine is balanced and has midpalate complexity and character.

Bottle Note: The Twin Pines Ranch is located in the heart of the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. Our wines are produced from non-irrigated, head-pruned and hand-picked vineyards. These are over one-hundred-year-old vines (planted in 1885) produce smaller berries with more complex and deep flavors. We do not use chemicals or additives and the wine is bottled unfined. Come and visit us at 2948 Piner Road, Santa Rosa. Salute! – Giuseppe J. Battaglini. 850 Cases produced. Unfined.
