Tasting Note: This unfiltered, garnet-colored cabernet franc has a nose filled with reductive red fruit notes suggesting the wine has passed its time.

On the palate secondary aging elements lead with fruit underneath.

The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.

I asked the tasting room lead who also sampled and poured the wine if this bottle was typical of the 2006 cabernet franc vintage, and he noted there were bottles that tasted better; unfortunately we didn’t taste one.

If you can’t get a decent bottle of the 2006 cab franc in the winery tasting room good luck trying to score a decent bottle in your local wine shop.
