Boschendal Brut Rosé 2015 – Understated with Muted Fruit

Boschendal, Brut Rosé 2015, South Africa, Wine Casual

Boschendal, Brut Rosé 2015, South Africa

Tasting Note: A sparkling rosé brut from South Africa with understated red fruit and some notes of midpalate complexity.

Pale-intensity onion skin in color, this wine has a muted nose of green apple and red cherry.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied sparkling rosé brut has medium-intensity flavors of muted red-cherry supported by medium acidity.

Bottle Note: 300 years of winemaking at Boschendal have created a tradition of excellence. Only top-quality grapes picked at optimum ripeness and sensitively vinified are used to ensure each bottle bears the distinctive Boschendal hallmark. This fresh and enticing sparkling wine, with its selective pink hue, is made in the traditional Méthode Cap Classique style. The base wine underwent a secondary fermentation in the bottle and spent 12 months on the lees. This ensures a seductive sparkle in the glass and a bracing, lively taste on the palate. Disgorged October 2017.
