Chalk Hill, Red Wine 2016, Sonoma County, California

Tasting Note: A red blend that has heft, body and delightful midpalate complexity and that would pair with a range of dishes.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black plum, raspberry and blackberry puree, red currant and blossom.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend delivers flavors suggested on the nose along with hints of cedar ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine has velvety, ripe, medium-plus tannin and is medium in acidity.

There is balance between the fruit and tannin structure.

A red blend worth notice.

Bottle Note: Chalk Hill is located in Healdsburg within Sonoma County. We are dedicated to producing wines of distinction and elegance. Rich with sensuous flavors of dark berry fruits, plum and spice, this red blend has wonderful depth and a firm, long finish.
