Tasting Note: Barbara from Asti is where this Italian grape variety shines best, including this bottle.

Deep-intensity purple-to-ruby in color this wine has a pronounced, aromatic nose of black currant, black plum and black cherry with some notes of vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied barbera expresses black fruit flavors suggested on the nose in a ripe fruit style.

The wine has ripe, medium-plus tannin and acidity that completes with a long finish.

It also has flavor concentration and complexity of flavor.
