Tasting Note: A chardonnay with a robust flavor range from fruit to toast and many complex aromas in between.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of fermented green apple, brioche, toast and green pear.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied chardonnay has a complex midpalate resulting from indigenous-yeast fermentation with French yeast.

Bottle Note: Rylstone is within the Mudgee wine region of Central West NSW. Rylstone has a unique terroir with features (rare in Australia) alkaline limestone-enriched soil structure and very cool micro-climate. Our terroir delivers wines with naturally balanced flavors, acids and sugars. Our terroir delivers wines with elegance, flavor and food-friendliness’ of the best French wines. All our wines will benefit from extended bottle development. We trust that you will find something special in these wines. Richard and Janet de Beaurepaire. Beautiful and clear, this reserve wine is a modern style of cool climate chardonnay with citrus and stonefruit notes, leading to a complex and creamy palate with nice acidity and length. The fruit was handpicked in our vineyard in March, whole bunch pressed with the juice being allowed to ferment using natural yeasts in 50% new French hogsheads, with a small portion of malolactic fermentation for added complexity.
