Domaine Bousquet, Malbec 2018, Tupungato Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Tasting Note: A grown-up malbec with rich, black fruit and depth of flavor.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, black currant, red cherry and raspberry with hints of vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied malbec is filled with medium-plus-intensity, ripe, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated, medium-plus tannin.

The fruit and tannin structure are balanced showing depth, concentration and completing with a black-fruit-infused, medium-plus finish.

Bottle Note: Domaine Bousquet combines the know-how of French winemaking with Argentina’s exceptional climate and terroir. The vineyard is located at the foothills of the Andes, at 1,200 m.a.s.l. Its thermal amplitude contributes to obtaining fully ripened grapes with an excellent acidity. The grapes are hand-picked and the vineyard is certified organic. Aged 10 months in French oak. This elegant wine is well balanced with rich aromas and expressions of pure fruit, tones of raspberry, blackcurrant, cassis, and fig flavors flowing over notes of chocolate and tobacco. Good acidity and long finish, ideal with red meats and pasta dishes.
