Domaine Robert Chevillon, Bourgogne Passetoutgrain 2013, Burgundy, France

Tasting Note: Passetoutgrain is a unique blend of gamay noir and pinot noir that is a perfect summer wine for red burgundy and Beaujolais lovers alike because it combines the two dominant red grapes for which the regions are known.

Medium-intensity ruby in color this wine has a nose of strawberry, red plum, raspberry and blossom.

On the palate, the dry, medium-plus bodied gamay noir and pinot noir blend expresses somewhat concentrated red fruit that is medium-plus in bright flavor intensity and acidity.

The wine has mid-palate complexity and balance between its fruit and acid character.

The best qualities of both grape varieties shine in your glass especially if served slightly chilled in summer.
