Domaine Zind Humbrecht, Hengst Gewurztraminer 2013, Alsace Grand Cru, France

Tasting Note: A gewurztraminer that embodies the best of what the grape can deliver.

Golden in color this wine has an aromatic nose of ripe golden fruit, orange compote, ripe golden pear and lychee.

On the palate the full-bodied gewurztraminer expresses flavors of plump golden raisin and orange blossom.

The wine is very rich and supple in texture with a multi-layered mouthfeel that coats the inside of your mouth combined with medium acidity.

The gewurztraminer is dry with some luscious residual sweetness that is balanced by the acidity.
