Famille Bougrier, Douce France Chenin Blanc 2015, France

Tasting Note: Another winning chenin blanc from the Loire.

A versatile and enjoyable chenin blanc that would complement many a dish or that could stand alone.

Lemon yellow in color this wine has a nose of green apple, honey dew melon, nectarine stone fruit and lemon zest.

On the palate the dry, medium bodied chenin blanc is tart on the attack with flavors of under ripe green plum finishing with lemon-lime.

There are hints of mid-palate complexity along with medium-plus acidity that refreshes and brightens.

Bottle Note: Light golden color for a typical off-dry French chenin varietal. Flower-scented and aromatic wine with citrusy aromas. Serve as an aperitif or with poultry, ham and pates and shellfish.
