Famille Hugel, Classic Gewurztraminer 2013, Alsace, France

Tasting Note: A gewurztraminer that makes a semi-interesting dinner guest.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of perfume, gardenia, baking spice, green raisin, pineapple and yellow rose.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied gewurztraminer is low in acidity and completes with a long finish.

Bottle Note: The spice of Alsace and one of Famille Hugel’s signature wines, it is both aromatic and extrovert with floral and spicy notes. Gewurztraminer is an invitation to accompany a variety of spicy Asian dishes as well as smoked salmon and strong cheeses. This wine may show a slight sediment of tartrate crystals, a sign of natural non-treated wine.
