Tasting Note: A riesling with sharp New World citrus aromas followed by a mellow mouthfeel and green fruit.

Lemon-yellow in color this wine has an aromatic nose of angular lime citrus, apricot, and pineapple.

On the palate, the dry, medium-bodied riesling is soft in texture, with tart green fruit on the attack followed by high acidity and a chalky finish.

The wine exhibits a depth of flavor one often finds in indigenous-yeast fermented wines.

I adore angular acid, and this bottle foments my adoration.

Bottle Note: This dry riesling exhibits aromas of orange blossom, grapefruit, and hints of coriander. The layers of fresh lime, summer peach, nectarine, and quince are resplendent over the palate; a distinct flavor profile for riesling vines of the Cayuga Lake appellation. In addition to the 60 acres of vineyard on Cayuga Lake’s western shore, we are also stewards to 160 acres of forest, lakeshore and meadow. As involved landowners, part of the proceeds from the sale of this land and every bottle of wine is dedicated to the protection and management of these valued natural areas. Thank you from the Hosmer Family!
