Tasting Note: A balanced malbec dominated by barrel aging with oak-influenced notes on the nose and restrained ripe red fruit on the palate.

Ruby in color this wine has an aromatic nose of ripe black plum, red currant and raspberry overlayed by vanilla and cinnamon baking spice.

On the palate the malbec is medium-plus in body and tannin.

Medium acidity kicks in on the attack followed by velvety tannin that culminates in a red fruit-dominated finish.

There is mid-palate complexity with balance between the tannin and fruit.

Bottle Note: The Canale Family vineyards are situated in Rio Negro Valley in Patagonia and are amongst the most southerly in the world. A dry growing season, with hot days and cold nights, helps to produce wonderfully ripe and generous fruit. The winery has recently been modernized. The wines are made from carefully selected grapes, where the yield has been kept extremely low to obtain maximum concentration of fruit. Barrel fermented.
