Tasting Note: An old-vine red zinfandel with flavor concentration, perfume-like aromatics, depth and smoothness – among the best of zins anywhere.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this aromatic wine has aromas of black plum, black cherry, raspberry, blackberry, clove baking spice and violet.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied red zinfandel delivers flavors suggested on the nose along with cedar and hints of apricot stone fruit.

The zinfandel is medium-plus in flavor intensity with flavors of cedar, kirsch and cinnamon baking spice.

The wine is creamy in texture and is very good in quality as evidenced by its concentration, smoothness, texture and unification of black-fruit flavors and oak.

Bottle Note: For four generations, sustainable viticulture and farming have been our way of life. This luscious zinfandel was produced from the Rous Vineyard planted in 1909. These 106 year old vines yield an elegant, multi-dimensional and full-bodied wine with flavors of blackberries, brown spices and caramel that linger in the well-rounded and long, full finish. 960 cases produced.
