La Bastarda, Pinot Grigio 2015, Sicilia IGT, Sicily, Italy

Tasting Note: A good, everyday pinot-grigio with body unlike the mass of thin, tasteless, lemon-water, that makes its way out of Italy masking as pinot grigio.

Lemon in color this aromatic wine has a nose of bosc pear, red apple, and green melon with hints of white pepper.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied pinot grigio is tart with green fruit flavors suggested on the nose continuing to the palate along with notes of lemon citrus.

There are also hints of baking spice even as the wine is stainless-steel fermented.

Oh yes, and this wine also has a provocative name.
