Tasting Note: Purple in color, this wine has a nose of black plum, raspberry and vanilla-and-clove baking spice.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied cabernet sauvignon is high in alcohol with black fruit suggested on the nose showing on the attack along with some eucalyptus.

The wine in high in tannin which kicks in towards the midpalate.

Bottle Note: In founding Lapostolle, Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle continues a unique family legacy of wine and liqueur production – for seven generations her family has produced the liqueur Grand Marnier. Our Cuvée Alexandre wines are the ultimate expression of that dedication to quality. This classic expression of cabernet sauvignon is sourced entirely from 60 year old non-irrigated vines in the ideal soil of our famous Apalta vineyard. Ripe berry fruits with chocolate and coffee undertones are supported by velvety textures and an enduring finish.
