Logan, Vintage M Cuvée 2016, Orange, Australia

Tasting Note: A sparkling wine with development, midpalate concentration and light, yeasty notes that well-compliment the wine’s fruit character.

Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity nose of brioche, caramelized green apple, pear compote and white blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied sparkling wine has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a caramelized, medium-plus finish.

A development-forward sparkling wine.

Bottle Note: Dad loved his bubbly. This Vintage ‘M’ Cuvée is named after Malcolm, my late father and Logan Wines founder. We miss him a lot, but every time we pop open a bottle, the loud, robust pop and energy of the bubbles remind us of him. It’s made from the three classic sparkling varieties of chardonnay, pinot noir and meunier, 930m above sea level in Orange. The altitude provides the perfect cold, dry ripening conditions to deliver traditional brut finesse and style. This crisp, fresh and dry cuvée was aged on yeast lees, providing the classic nutty biscuit aroma, which combines magically with citrus, oyster shell and wild strawberry characters. Peter Logan, winemaker.
