Tasting Note: Experience wet earth, wet hay and restrained black fruit in your glass with minor red fruit notes in the background.

This cabernet franc from Chinon is ruby to purple in color with a nose of black fruit, blueberry, black cherry, raspberry, forest floor, and wet leaves.

On the palate black fruit plays second fiddle to the secondary aging overlays including wet hay and some farmyard.

The medium-bodied cabernet franc is medium-plus in tannin with some red fruit, strawberry and raspberry notes mixed with floral violet aromas on the finish.
