Tasting Note: A good sparkling red alternative for your friends who like dry red wine and your friends who enjoy the tiniest bit of residual sweetness – i.e., this wine tastes dry but can speak to the suggestion of off-dry.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black-and-red plum, blackberry, blossom, black currant and violet.

On the palate the dry-to-slightly-off-dry, Lambrusco is medium-plus in body and flavor intensity with aromas on the nose continuing to the palate as flavors.

The wine is more frizzante (slightly sparkling) rather than spumante (fully sparkling) in style.

It would pair well with many a meal (especially those with high acidity such as tomato-based dishes) including pizza which I’m enjoying this evening.
