Dancing Flame Ojos del Salado Red Blend 2014 – Good Price-to-Value

Ojos del Salado, Dancing Flame Red Blend 2014, Central Valley, Chile, Wine Casual

Dancing Flame, Ojos del Salado Red Blend 2014, Central Valley, Chile

Tasting Note: A straightforward cabernet-backed red blend from Chile that is a steal for the consumer-favorable, price-to-value ratio.

Ruby in color, this wine has a nose of black fruit including blackberry, black plum, blueberry and mild vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the medium-bodied wine is black-fruit forward with sour red cherry on the finish.

South American red blends (Chile & Argentina) are the future.

Bottle Note: Origin: Central Valley, Chile. Taste: Dry. Style: Full-bodied. Notes: Bursting with blackberry and cherry flavors with a hint of spice and mocha on the finish. Food: Pairs well with grilled meat and vegetables, pasta with red sauce, hard cheeses, or simply on its own. Temp: Best when served at room temperature. Cabernet 70%, Carmenere 15%, Syrah 15%.
