Pardon & Fils, La Côte du Py Morgon 2015, Beaujolais, France

Tasting Note: A straightforward Beaujolais.

Deep intensity purple-to-ruby in color, this aromatic wine has a nose of strawberry, red cherry, kirsch and blossom.

The dry, medium-bodied gamay delivers more restrained fruit on the palate than suggested on the nose.

While the wine is deep in color, it is not concentrated in flavor intensity as visual cues might initially lead you to believe.

There is no mid-palate complexity, but there is balance between the fruit and medium-plus acidity.

A mostly-average Morgon.
