Tasting Note: A 2002 Chinon that still has some bright, red fruit notes running through it 14 years after bottling.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of red plum, black tea, pencil shavings, graphite, red cherry and blossom with hints of raspberry.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied cabernet franc presents red-fruit, with some midpalate concentration ultimately completing a medium finish.

The wine is smooth in texture with ripe, medium tannin.

A lovely Chinon that pairs well with a chilly, fall weekday evening.
