Quinta da Murta, Rosé Extra Brut 2015, Lisbon, Portugal

Tasting Note: A bright, easy-going Portuguese sparkling rosé to pair with an everyday meal when you want to add a little frivolity to your dining life.

Medium-to-deep intensity salmon-to-orange in color, this wine has a nose of red cherry, orange citrus, strawberry blossom and crab apple.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied rosé sparkling wine delivers medium-intensity red-fruit flavors supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a lemon-citrus, medium finish.

The wine is mostly straightforward in profile, but good in its dimension.

Bottle Note: Quinta da Murta, an estate giving value to a rare terroir: Long history since the Roman, protected area, biodiversity, minerality, Atlantic Ocean freshness, hillside facing South-East, traditionally cultivated, selected grapes and plots, hand-picked, exclusive fermentation with indigenous yeast, long maturation and aging.
