Tasting Note: Most of us don’t want to wait for vintage Port to age, and this bottle proves you don’t have to wait to enjoy a vintage Port if you don’t want to.

Vintage Port can see 20-30 years of aging in the bottle or opened early to enjoy its concentrated black fruit and tannin.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has a pronounced-intensity nose of blackberry, black plum, red currant, violet, forest floor, fig and raspberry.

On the palate the vintage Port is sweet, medium in acidity, high in alcohol with grippy, medium-plus tannin.

The wine is full-bodied with pronounced-intensity flavors suggested on the nose along with flavors of raisin and bramble.

The Port is mouthcoating in texture and is very good in quality because of its flavor intensity concentration and full body.

It completes with a long finish.

Bottle Note: This is one of the oldest Quintas in the Douro Valley, as well as one of the best located. Written references about Quinta Das Carvalhas describing its prominent position on the left bank of the Douro River can be tracked back to 1759.
