Red Tail Ridge, Block 606 Riesling 2012, Finger Lakes, New York

Tasting Note: A dry riesling with body and complexity.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a pronounced and aromatic nose of green pear, lemon citrus peel, honeysuckle, chalk and white blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied wine follows through with flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and a slightly chalky finish.

There is depth and flavor complexity in the midpalate demonstrative of indigenous-yeast fermentation.

An elegant, well-made riesling that stands on its own.

Bottle Note: The fruit for this wine was hand-harvested, and whole cluster pressed from our estate vineyard block 606. Fermentation was initiated spontaneously and required 73 days to complete. We hope you enjoy our little experimental project. Cheers!
