Red Tail Ridge, Gewürztraminer 2014, Seneca Lake, Finger Lakes, New York

Tasting Note: This pale, lemon-colored gewürztraminer has an aromatic nose of red rose petals, lemon citrus, peach stone fruit and lychee with clove baking spice.

On the palate, this dry white is light-to-medium bodied, with medium acidity kicking in at the 75% point of the taste petering out in a long finish.

This is an example of a more delicate, refreshing and lighter gewürztraminer style being produced in the New York Finger Lakes.

There is a lot to like here; this would be a perfect gewürztraminer to introduce a friend to this aromatic grape varietal.
