Tasting Note: A dry, tropical fruit-styled chenin blanc from South Africa with rich flavor.

Lemon-yellow in color this wine has a nose of pineapple, green melon, pear and white grape.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied chenin blanc has ripe green and tropical fruit flavors along with green melon and hints of mango.

The wine is medium-plus in body with some faint notes of cardamom and tartness on the finish.

A chenin blanc to try again.

Bottle Note: Pioneered and named in the 17th Century by Commander Jan Van Riebeeck, our breathtaking part of the world is home to some of South Africa’s most exceptional vineyards: producing wines of outstanding quality and unique character. Its architecture is testament to those early European settlers with a boat of Cape Dutch colonial gables that compliment the stunning vineyard backdrops. The Royal is alleged to be South Africa’s oldest inn, and Riebeek Kasteel, along with its wines, one if its best kept secrets. This chenin blanc is intensely fresh and fruity wine with tropical flavours and the signature chenin hint of honey.
