Saget la Perrière, Marie de Beauregard Chinon 2014, Loire, France

Tasting Note: A classic Chinon abounding with all the elements that make Loire cabernet franc so distinctive and great.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of red plum, pencil shavings, black tea, forest floor, violet and white blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied cabernet franc is medium in acidity with mid-palate complexity.

There is depth and flavor concentration throughout the length of the taste which ultimately completes with a red-fruit-and-graphite-filled, medium-plus finish.

Bottle Note: Saget La Perrière is a family owned and managed Loire Valley winery, now in its 8th generation. Deep ruby colored wine. Delicate and intense nose of fresh red fruits such as raspberries and red currants. Well-developed aromas, elegant, easy to drink, it has also vigorous fruity flavors with a spicy finish and well integrated tannins.
