Shaw Vineyard, Reserve Cabernet Franc 2008, Finger Lakes, New York

Tasting Note: A silky, lighter-styled, reserve cabernet franc from the New York Finger Lakes that shows the aging potential of the grape varietal.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of red plum, strawberry preserve, red currant, violet-blossom petal and vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied cabernet franc delivers supple, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.

There is midpalate complexity and a gentleness of spirit combined with an attractive rustic quality.

Bottle Note: Shaw Vineyard strives to produce quality wines from grapes grown on our own single vineyard clay and shale terroir. We are proud to offer this handcrafted selection for your enjoyment.
