St. Donat, Márga Marl Furmint 2013, Balatonfüred-Csopak, Hungary

Tasting Note: A dry, high acid, Hungarian furmint grown on marl soils with muted green-and-yellow fruit and blossom.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a pronounced-intensity, aromatic nose of green apple, pear, peach stone fruit, dried fruit and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine is high in acidity with muted fruit along with grapefruit flavors.

Bottle Note: Furmint is one of the finest grapes grown in the heart of Europe. In the village of Csopak, with it timeless dry white traditions and world-class terroirs, we have made a furmint that is carefully selected from the highest, marl-based, first-class vineyards, facing the shiny surface of Lake Balaton. Pairs well with spicy dishes and sushi. Specific notes: citrus, green apple, pear, toast, creamy, delicate, minerality.
