Tasting Note: Move over Germany, the Finger Lakes knows how to make a pretty-darn-good gewürztraminer!

Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has an aromatic, pronounced-intensity nose of lychee, green pear, quince, honey and blossom with hints of freshly-ground clove baking spice.

On the palate the dry-to-slightly-off-dry gewürztraminer delivers ripe, medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose filled with lots of ripe fruit and supported by medium acidity.

The wine has a slightly oily texture as is characteristic of the grape.

The acidity and fruit are in balance, and the wine shows lots of varietal typicity.

A sold gewürztraminer.
