Stony Run, Grüner Veltliner 2017, Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania

Tasting Note: A grüner veltliner with minerality and a slightly-chalky midpalate that balances well with a light, spicy character.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus intensity nose of quince, pear, lemon-citrus peel, white nectarine and clove baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied grüner veltliner has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose.

There is a streak of medium-plus acidity running through the wine along with tart, granny-smith-apple flavors ultimately completing with a green-fruit-infused, medium-plus finish.

Bottle Note: A subtle floral and honeysuckle nose complements refreshing lemon lime flavors with hints of green apple on the palate making this a versatile food pairing partner. Grüner pairs with everything! World class varietals, technology and people combine to produce handcrafted wines of extraordinary quality. Real oak barrels age our wine enhancing the rich flavors developed in our own vineyards. Relax and raise a glass of Pennsylvania’s finest. Stony Run wine, close to home but far from ordinary!
