Sunce Winery & Vineyard, Merlot 2012, Serres Ranch, Sonoma Valley, California

Tasting Note: A ripe-fruit-styled merlot that abounds with depth, concentration and body.

Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a pronounced-intensity, aromatic nose of black plum, raspberry puree, kirsch, blackberry compote and bruised-violet petal.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied merlot echoes the black-fruit flavors suggested on nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine is creamy in texture with smooth, ripe, medium tannin and balance between the fruit and tannin structure.

Bottle Note: Sunce is an artisan winery located in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma County, specializing in vineyard-designated varietal wines and classic blends. “To find eternity in a grain of sand or drop of wine.”
