Toro Run Pinot Noir 2012 – A Delicate, Midweek Pinot Noir

Toro Run, Pinot Noir 2012, Finger Lakes, New York, Wine Casual

Toro Run, Pinot Noir 2012, Finger Lakes, New York

Tasting Note: A delicate, mostly straightforward, mid-week pinot noir that would pair well with white meat and fish.

Light-to-medium-intensity ruby in color this wine has an aromatic nose of red cherry, strawberry and cranberry with a hint of red currant.

On the palate the dry, light-bodied pinot noir is delicate with red fruit flavors suggested on the nose continuing to the palate supported by medium acidity and some notes of concentration on the finish.

Bottle Note: Toro Run Winery sits high above the waters of the Cayuga Lake, the longest of the glacial formed finger lakes. This body of water created a micro climate moderating the air mass at the vineyard and establishing a climate ideal for the fruit of the vineyard. All grapes are hand harvested at Toro Run selecting only the finest fruit.
