Vietti, Tre Vigne Dolcetto D’Alba 2015, Piemonte, Italy

Tasting Note: Dolcetto is the Piemonte’s workhorse grape that is uncomplicated, fruity, and food friendly with a notable tannin structure that will keep the red wine drinkers in your life happy.

Medium-intensity purple-to-ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black cherry, black plum and black currant with some violet and fig notes.

The dry, full-bodied dolcetto has velvety, green, high tannin supported by medium-plus acidity with flavors on the palate being less pronounced than on the nose.

Bottle Note: The Vietti winery, now operated by our family’s fourth generation, is located in the tiny medieval village of Castiglione Falletto in the heart of the famous Piemontese wine region. Here we vinify and patiently age our hand-crafted wines, the products of a unique combination of sun and soil. Unfiltered.
