Vrede en Lust Anni Sauvignon Blanc 2017 – A High-Octane Sauvignon Blanc

Vrede en Lust, Anni Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Elgin, South Africa, Wine Casual

Vrede en Lust, Anni Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Elgin, South Africa

Tasting Note: A full-figured, high acid, high octane sauvignon blanc.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a nose of green apple, grass, grapefruit and hints of lychee.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied wine is pronounced in flavor intensity and very New Zealand-esque in style.

Bottle Note: In 1688 Jacques De Savoye founded Vrede en Lust, meaning “peace and eagerness.” The Buys family started a new era in 1996, and created the unique logo combining the Huguenot cross and the Buys family crest. Named after Anni, third of the Buys daughters. Like its namesake, this delicious cool climate sauvignon blanc is very entertaining in its youth, but will become smarter in time! Flint notes, granadilla and gooseberry on the nose with a refreshing, crisp finish.
