Tasting Note: Experience riesling’s elegance with this Austrian riesling from the Kremstal region that nods towards the Mosel but with a riper fruit profile.

Medium-intensity lemon in color this wine has a nose of yellow pear, green apple and ripe tropical fruit including nectarine, pineapple and lemon peel.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied riesling echoes flavors suggested on the nose supported by fresh, high acidity and completes with a tart, chalky, long finish.

The wine has the high-acid back of a Mosel riesling but with a riper fruit style and fuller body – perhaps more Mittelrhein or Rheingau influenced in style.

The riesling is slightly petillant with small bubbles clinging to the inside of your glass.

Lastly, the wine has structure, mid-palate complexity and balance between the acidity and fruit even while the fruit on the nose is riper than it is on the palate.

A riesling to repeat.
