Domaine des Terres Dorées, L’Ancien Vieilles Vignes 2016, Beaujolais, France
Tasting Note: A Beaujolais made in the Burgundian, pinot-noir style.
Medium-to-deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity, aromatic nose of strawberry, black currant, blackberry and raspberry in a way that is reminiscent of Northern Rhone syrah.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Beaujolais is filled with tart, black-fruit flavors with some midpalate complexity and concentration supported by medium tannin.
