Albert Levasseur, Rue du Sorbier Brut Nature Champagne, France
Tasting Note: A brut nature Champagne with a medium-intensity, yeasty nature and a great sparkling-wine structure that would shine as an aperitif or paired with a meal.
Medium-intensity lemon in color with small, tight, persistent bubbles, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus intensity nose of brioche, caramel, golden apple, toast and blossom with hints of lemon citrus.
On the palate the bone-dry, medium-plus-bodied Champagne has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by high acidity and completing with a brioche-filled, medium-plus finish.
There is complexity along the midpalate with solid, refreshing acidity.
Delicious.
