Amayna, Leyda Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2020, San Antonio, Chile
Tasting Note: A substantial, polished, full-bodied sauvignon blanc with ripe tropical fruit and vibrato.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of quince, white peach, passionfruit, orange zest, cantaloupe, kiwi and blossom.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied sauvignon blanc has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus-acidity and completing with a long, lemon-citrus-infused finish.
Complex, well-integrated tropical-fruit notes dance along the midpalate supported by notes of tart citrus.
Warm-weather sauvignon blanc that impresses.
Bottle Note: This sauvignon blanc comes from our vineyards in Leyda, just a few kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. Directly influenced by the sea, cool climate and long sunny days allow the grapes to ripen slowly and ensure the variety retains its distinct characteristics. The hand-picked grapes are from specially selected vines to create a wine offering elegant fruit aromas, hints of minerality, with excellent structure and fresh, crisp flavors. Together they make this wine an iconic Chilean sauvignon blanc.
