Ameal, Loureiro 2020, Vinho Verde, Portugal
Tasting Note: A bright, spritely Vinho Verde in the characteristic style of the region.
Pale-intensity lemon-green in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of fresh-green-apple slice, pear, nectarine, blossom and lemon-lime zest.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Vinho Verde has medium-intensity, green-fruit flavors suggested on the nose with some hints of minerality and chalk supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a citrusy, medium finish.
The wine is fresh, straightforward, low-alcohol and a perfect wine to pair with summer.
