Bellview Winery, Cabernet Franc 2017, Outer Coastal Plain, New Jersey
Tasting Note: A cabernet franc with a floral nose and red-fruit-filled midpalate that expresses the grape in prime form.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, rose petal, raspberry and red cherry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied cabernet franc has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and medium tannin ultimately completing with a medium finish.
Enjoyable complexity on the midpalate with this 100% cabernet franc that Bellview has been producing since 2004.
Bottle Note: An aroma with nuances of rose petal and chutney complements the stimulating plum and light oak flavors in this medium bodied wine. Its soft silkiness and tannin structure make it an excellent partner to anything from poultry to filet mignon. Jim Quarella, Proprietor.
