Beneduce Vineyards, Blue 2 Blaufränkisch 2017, New Jersey
Tasting Note: A fresh blaufränkisch with bright fruit and pleasing acidity.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red cherry, hibiscus, blueberry, red currant, black plum and blackberry pie.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied blaufränkisch has medium-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested nose supported by medium acidity and medium tannin.
A fruity style that pairs well with summer and presents especially well served slightly chilled.

Bottle Note: Every ambitious endeavor begins with a detailed plan – a blueprint – in our case. Seeking to create a wine definitive of our estate vineyard, our answer was unveiled in the form of a unique varietal, blaufränkisch. These vines have anchored themselves deeply into our mineral-rich hillside, delivering a wine with a silky smooth texture and enticing aromas of applewood smoked bacon and blueberries.
