Beneduce Vineyards, Intermezzo 2019, New Jersey
Tasting Note: A gewürztraminer orange wine that shows fermentation on the skins can truly enhance depth of flavor especially with this aromatically-led varietal.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a pronounced-intensity nose of orange citrus, lychee, pineapple, white nectarine, blossom and apricot.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied orange wine has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a long finish.
The wine has a complex, floral midpalate and a medium-plus finish.
Would be a great aperitif to begin a meal or pair with a cheese course.
Unfined and unfiltered and harvested 10 days later in 2019 than 2018.
Bottle Note: This orange wine is an unexpected in-between, made from gewürztraminer grape fermented on the skins. Harvested by Hand in Hunteron County.
