Béres Tokaj, Sweet Szamorodni 2015, Tokaj, Hungary
Tasting Note: Looking for a Hungarian sweet wine that is on the lower level of the sweetness scale?
Try this furmint.
Pale-intensity gold in color, this wine has a pronounced-intensity, aromatic nose of apricot, honey, caramel and dried apple.
On the palate the medium-sweet, medium-plus-bodied furmint is creamy in texture with stone fruit flavors.
There is some midpalate concentration and balance between the fruit and acidity.
Bottle Note: Quality Tokaj sweet white-wine with protected designation of origin. This Tokaj specialty wine of botrytis was fermented and aged in oak barrels. Fragrance of apricots with long flavors of sultanas and exotic fruits. Excellent accompaniment to desserts and spicy dishes.
