Bertha, Brut Nature Reserva Cava, Catalonia, Spain
Tasting Note: A creamy, fuller-bodied cava with zero dosage (i.e. sugar) added so you only taste the grapes.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a creamy mousse and a nose of green apple, lemon-citrus peel, blossom and biscuit.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied cava expresses flavors suggested on the nose along with brioche and quince.
The wine is medium in flavor-intensity and alcohol and is supported by medium-plus acidity.
The wine is very good in quality because of its body, acidity and creamy mouthfeel.
Bottle Note: Grapes: Macabeu, Xarel-lo, Parrellada. Crianza 12-30 months. Disgorgement – January 2017. Harvest – 2015.
