Biutiful, Brut Nature Cava, Catalonia, Spain
Tasting Note: A brut nature cava that presented in an accessible, straight-forward style.
Medium-intensity lemon in color with tight, persistent bubbles, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green apple, caramel, bosc pear and lemon-citrus peel.
On the palate the bone-dry, brut-nature cava has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a medium finish.
The wine has a slightly-creamy texture and presents cava in a pure, clear style that is a perfect base for mixers.
Bottle Note: How a Spaniard would read/say the English word Beautiful. Life is often beautiful with a glass of sparkling wine in your hand. This wine aims to bring that beauty to your glass. This blend is 80% Macabeo, 20% Chardonnay was fermented and aged in its own bottle for 15 months and finished without any dosage. The resulting wine is complex, bone dry and punctuated by fine, elegant bubbles. The wine’s lively acidity and flavors of toast, apple, pear, citrus and yeast makes this a perfect aperitif, it would also pair beautifully with paella, oysters and a wide variety of tapas.
