Bravium, Chardonnay 2014, Rosella’s Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands, California
Tasting Note: A chardonnay for wine drinkers who enjoy concentration coupled with balance and restraint.
Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of golden apple, lemon-citrus peel, pineapple, starfruit and medium-intensity vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied chardonnay has a characterful, concentrated mouth feel supported by medium acidity that ultimately completes with a medium-plus finish.
The oak does not overwhelm the fruit but supports it instead.
A wine to try to again.
