Burnbrae, The Lucky Find Cuvée 2012, Australia
Tasting Note: A cava-midpalate-reminiscent sparkling wine that provides a yeasty midpalate that pleases.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of green apple, caramel, brioche, applesauce and lemon-citrus peel.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied sparkling wine has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with some cava-like rubberband notes on the midpalate.
Bottle Note: While on his adventure, the wanderer chanced upon some luck. Eureka! Bursting with bubbly goodness it was as though the night stars had been bottled and were dancing across his palate. This was a find too good to leave behind – he couldn’t wait to share it. Chardonnay-pinot noir. A crisp, zippy, citrus bubbly with delicious almond nougat and brioche aromatics.
